In keeping with the mission of the United States Pony Club, the Narrows Pony Club provides the opportunity for members, aged 5 – 25, to participate in all disciplines of Pony Club at clinics, rallies and other equestrian events.
Narrows Pony Club provides two mounted meetings per month, where the riders learn equitation skills both on the flat and over fences. They are instructed at these meetings by our main coach, Anni Grandia. The mounted meetings are at Grand Farm in Vaughn, WA. Periodically, mounted meetings may be at other facilities so members can school over cross country jumps or school in other arenas/venues.
Once a month the club provides an unmounted meeting that focuses learning horse management such as shoeing, feeding, conditioning, bandaging and basic health care. Typically the C level members meet one evening, then teach the D level members on another evening, thus fulfilling their teaching requirements.
In addition to the regular meetings, the Narrows PC is an active participant in the NW Region of the United States Pony Club. We attend and compete at rallies, our members study to get their certifications and have tons of fun with social and fundraising activities as well!
Many of the Narrows PC members also maintain an active show schedule in dressage and eventing.
